Job summary

Maplefields is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager in Training for their Bristol, VT location. The role focuses on developing the skills to oversee a Maplefields Store in the absence of a manager and supporting the Store Manager in daily operations and training of staff.

The position offers full-time hours, a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement, with a salary of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring and training individuals to provide exceptional customer service as members of the Maplefields team.
• Coordinate and participate in all functions and duties associated with operating a convenience store. Monitor cash drawers and explain overages/shortages; complete bookkeeping and paperwork; provide shift coverage.
• Create a positive work environment to motivate, encourage and train store staff.
• Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to keep store clean, stocked, organized; follow policies and communicate issues to management.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed attractively and priced correctly; handle price changes and monthly promotions; enforce vendor policies and procedures.
• Ensure Environmental Procedures are followed and staff trained on Spill Response and Safety and security issues; report incidents per company protocol.
