Job summary

Maplefields & R.L. Vallee in Morrisville, VT is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager in Training to develop skills to run a Maplefields store in the absence of a manager and assist with daily operations.

Responsibilities include training sales associates, ensuring standards, merchandising, scheduling, and participating in hiring and onboarding while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring and training individuals to provide exceptional customer service as members of the Maplefields team.
• Coordinate and participate in all functions and duties associated with operating a convenience store. Monitor cash drawers and explain overs/shorts. Complete financial paperwork and provide shift coverage as needed.
• Create a positive work environment where you can motivate, encourage and train store staff.
• Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to ensure store cleanliness, stocking, organization, and policy compliance.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive and priced correctly; communicate price changes from corporate; follow promotions and vendor policies.
• Ensure Environmental Procedures are followed and staff trained on Spill Response, Safety and incident reporting.
