ALDI in Chicago, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the direct leader in day-to-day store operations and drive performance. You will help supervise staff, manage schedules, and implement action plans to improve results while upholding ALDI’s values and standards.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills, with a minimum of 3 years in retail and a HS diploma or equivalent.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Model ALDI core values and foster teamwork.
• Monitor competitive environment and report adjustments needed to stay competitive.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate weekly updates, milestones, developments, and concerns.
• Ensure inventory procedures, product handling, and cash controls are followed.
• Resolve customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
• Identify and rectify hazards; maintain equipment.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage at all times.
• Assist with stock levels and product ordering.
• Merchandise products to maximize sales and ensure signage accuracy.
• Assist with payroll and loss budget, inventories, and training.
