Job summary

ALDI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, supervise the team, manage schedules, and develop action plans that drive performance. The role involves identifying training opportunities to grow the staff and ensuring the store meets overall performance targets.

You will work with leadership to implement operating procedures, maintain inventory integrity, deliver exceptional customer service, and lead staff training and development while upholding ALDI standards

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in a retail environment with progressive responsibilities
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to understand budgeting, payroll, and expenses

Responsibilities

• Assist store leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations
• Identify training opportunities for direct reports
• Model ALDI core values and promote teamwork
• Monitor competitive environment and advise on adjustments
• Provide feedback on products and suggest item changes
• Participate in interviewing store personnel
• Ensure inventory procedures and cash control policies are followed
• Resolve customer concerns in leader's absence
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage
• Maintain stock levels through appropriate ordering
• Merchandise products to maximize sales
• Ensure product quality and signage accuracy
• Assist with payroll and loss prevention targets
• Supervise day-to-day team operations
• Ensure timely completion of responsibilities and high customer service
