Job summary

Family Dollar in Bath, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help supervise daily activities, assist customers, and ensure the stockroom and sales floor are well-organized.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, work in a high-energy environment, and maintain strong communication with staff and customers. This position is part-time and based at 328 W Washington St, Bath, NY 14810.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
