Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Roanoke, VA to support daily store operations, lead a team, and drive sales while ensuring excellent customer service. You will work closely with the Store Manager on hiring, onboarding, and development of store associates, maintaining operational standards and a safe shopping environment.

The role requires 2–4 years in a similar retail leadership position, strong communication, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations are met.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist with hiring and recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and training support.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
