Job summary

Follett Higher Education in Washington, DC, is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support a Market Leader or Campus Store Manager in overseeing store operations. You will drive sales growth while delivering brand and operational excellence and a best-in-class customer experience.

You will mentor and develop team members, monitor financial metrics, and ensure adherence to store procedures. Availability must meet business needs and you will participate in an incentive program as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• General computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work activities of sales team members FT/PT and Temporary.
• Schedules team members' work hours.
• Trains new team members FT/PT and seasonal staff.
• Ensures Sales Team follow company policies and standards.
• Maintains proper merchandising and promotion standards, creates displays.
• Onboards new hires and greets customers; handles escalated issues.
