Job summary

Family Dollar in Parlier, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will help with day-to-day activities, supervise associates, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Responsibilities include merchandise flow, opening/closing procedures, scheduling, payroll processing, loss prevention, and adherence to company policies. Prior store-management experience is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Support merchandise flow from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Help train and develop Store Associates and ensure safety.
