Job summary

Family Dollar in Morro Bay, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, serve customers, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandise, pricing, staffing, opening and closing duties, and compliance with company policies to maintain a safe, clean store environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, retail leadership experience, and strong communication skills, with a willingness to train and grow within the department.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and stock merchandise from delivery to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and deposits.
• Keep sales floor and stockroom well-stocked and organized.
