Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Anniston, AL to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, stock merchandise, and ensure clean, organized spaces while upholding company policies.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to train and supervise store associates in a fast-paced retail setting. This is a full-time on-site position with a focus on excellent customer experiences and operational

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and reading/understanding directives is required.
• Retail/store management experience is preferred, especially in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a high-energy team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store functions and activities.
• Greet customers and address questions with a positive, approachable manner.
• Help organize and stock merchandise on sales floor and in stockroom.
• Support opening/closing procedures and relate store directives to staff.
• Maintain store displays, lose prevention, and safe handling of cash and assets.
• Train and develop store associates, ensuring a respectful work environment.
