Job summary

Dollar General is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations with a customer-first focus. You’ll assist with supervision, merchandising presentation, deposits, and paperwork while maximizing profitability and reducing losses.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to train staff, manage inventory, and support planograms. A high school diploma and retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days a week.
• Assist with scheduling and training employees, and conducting safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and display setup.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with planograms and audits.
• Protect company assets through cash control and security practices.
• Assist in store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
