Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations with a customer-first focus. You will assist with staff supervision, merchandising presentation, and deposit handling to protect assets and maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and secure assets.
• Support planogram implementation and store presentation.
• Ensure cash handling accuracy and deposits.
• Assist in store operations during Store Manager absence.
