Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Conyers, GA to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with daily activities, ensure greeting customers positively, and keep merchandise organized on the floor and in the stockroom.

You will participate in opening and closing procedures, assist with payroll and scheduling, and help protect company assets while maintaining safe, friendly store environments.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store front effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
