Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Wisconsin LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and ensure a safe, well-organized shopping environment.

This role involves merchandising, coaching, opening/closing procedures, and adherence to company policies. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior retail leadership experience, with strong communication and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention
• Maintain stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff comply
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store
