Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Wisconsin LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor while maintaining seasonal areas.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proven track record in retail environment. A collaborative team environment and friendly leadership style are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash handling, deposits).
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors swept/mopped, trash removed, and areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
