Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development in our Aurora location.

You will assist the Store Manager with opening and closing procedures, merchandise flow from the truck to stockroom to sales floor, and loss prevention tasks while maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Greet customers and address questions or concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling and loss prevention tasks.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Train and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful store environment and follow policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
