Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Michigan to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. You will lead the team when the Store Manager is absent or on opposing shifts to ensure outstanding service.

Responsibilities include staffing the sales counter during peak hours, coaching team members, participating in interviews, processing returns, and coordinating with management on training and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training and management certifications required.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• RSS Certification and related credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure staff execution of service programs.
• Assist store manager in staffing the sales counter, especially during peak hours and weekends.
• Assist in hiring by completing recruiting tasks, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure all transactions, returns, and exchanges are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Oversee store opening/closing procedures, security, and daily banking procedures.
