The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Harrisburg seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations and supervise personnel. The role supports work therapy programs and focuses on customer service, adherence to policies, and profitable store performance.

The position requires a high school diploma, sales/ supervisory experience, and strong communication skills. Occasional coverage at other locations may be needed, with responsibilities including payroll and inventory

Qualifications

Experience in sales and customer service.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret income/expense reports.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to motivate a team.

Responsabilités

Assist in creating a pleasant, hospitable work environment and maintain customer relationships.
Ensure compliance with accounting, employee, and store policies.
Assist in meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals.
Ensure proper display of merchandise and stock in the sales floor.
Assist in interviewing applicants and training new personnel.
Schedule staff, manage payroll data biweekly, and communicate policies to team.
Order merchandise in manager’s absence and maintain appropriate inventory.
