Job summary

Hill House Home is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Plaza Del Lago store in Wilmette, IL, assisting the Store Manager with daily operations and delivering exceptional client experiences. This full-time role includes weekends and a fast-paced retail schedule in a brand-focused environment.

You will lead by example on the sales floor, develop client relationships, and ensure compliance with policies while supporting inventory and visual standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the retail industry, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience performing in a fast-paced environment with fastidious attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with exceptional communication and a motivational attitude; passionate for personal development and growth.
• Excellent collaboration skills as well as good decision-making abilities in high pressure situations.
• High degree of flexibility and initiative: embracing a culture of learning and advocacy.
• Maintains a positive attitude and is representative of the Hill House Home brand.
• Has lived experiences with people from different backgrounds and diverse teams.
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor, engaging with clients and meeting service and sales targets.
• Develop CRM initiatives to retain and develop high-potential clients in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Assist Store Manager with store operations, including policies, procedures, inventory control, and visual merchandising standards.
• Supervise, train, and motivate retail staff; assist in scheduling shifts and conducting performance reviews.
