Job summary

Rural King in Waycross, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, oversee merchandising and inventory, and create a safe, engaging shopping environment.

You will coach and develop associates, support recruiting, and model Rural King's values of People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement while expanding

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to coach and develop high‑performing teams.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, and inventory.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze performance and drive improvements.
• Proficiency with POS systems and retail software.
• Flexibility for varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Must meet federal requirements to qualify for an FFL, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily retail operations and sales performance with the Store Manager.
• Monitor inventory, merchandising, pricing, and safety standards.
• Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates.
• Lead scheduling, labor planning, and loss prevention initiatives.
