Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Wheeling, WV. You will assist with daily functions, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked store areas and secure assets including cash.
• Ensure safety and policy compliance; lead and develop Store Associates.
• Keep a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms clean, restock, sweep and mop floors, take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
