Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Huntington, West Virginia to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help open and close the store.

The role requires a high school diploma, store management experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. You will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, supervise, train, and motivate associates while upholding company policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Follow corporate directives and store policies.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash handling.
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets and cash.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of store, bathrooms, floors; take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
