Job summary

Dollar Tree in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers with questions and ensure merchandise is organized on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

This role requires lifting up to 55 lbs, performing opening and closing procedures, payroll and scheduling tasks, processing transfers and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain organized, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Train and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure safety policies are followed.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
