Job summary

Rural King is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This role partners with the Store Manager to drive sales, oversee merchandising and inventory, ensure safety, and foster a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, scheduling, and customer service.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to drive operational improvements and analyze business performance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail technology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily retail operations in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Monitor sales performance, inventory, merchandising, pricing, and store standards.
• Lead scheduling, labor planning, and loss prevention initiatives.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop associates; conduct performance evaluations.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing team and succession planning.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and engage customers to drive loyalty.
