Job summary

Dollar Tree in Jennings, Missouri is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role supports the Store Manager and leads by example in a fast-paced retail environment, ensuring accuracy, safety and friendly service for customers and staff.

You will assist with opening and closing tasks, merchandise processing, cashiering, scheduling, payroll, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and payroll/scheduling duties.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and support loss prevention efforts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and ensure a well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; ensure a positive and safe environment.
