Job summary

Family Dollar in Morro Bay, CA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help oversee merchandising, staffing, and customer interactions to ensure a smooth, welcoming shopping experience.

You will assist with opening/closing procedures, payroll-related tasks, and loss prevention, while coaching Store Associates to deliver excellent service and maintain store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
