Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at 935 N Main St, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Duties include assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, opening and closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and training Store Associates to provide a positive, safe and respectful shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness across the store including bathrooms.
