Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Oshkosh, WI to support store operations and customer service. You will help with day-to-day activities, supervise staff, and maintain merchandise flow from delivery to floor while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effects of storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow them.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
