Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Jay, Maine, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers and organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor.

You will also participate in opening/closing procedures, safeguard store assets, and help the Store Manager develop Store Associates, ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and oversee stockroom cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Protect and secure store assets including cash, follow safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable store.
