Job summary

Family Dollar in Lynn, MA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure shelves and stockrooms are well maintained.

You will help in opening/closing, follow corporate directives, and maintain promotional displays. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Assist customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, stockroom to sales floor, and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record-keeping.
• Maintain an organized sales floor and stockroom per company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and security.
• Adhere to safety policies and supervise store associates as needed.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Help in training and development of Store Associates.
