Piggly Wiggly is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to serve as the Store Manager's right-hand leader. You will drive peak operational performance, uphold food safety, and deliver legendary guest satisfaction across the store.

You will partner with management to lead daily operations, recruit and mentor staff, manage inventory and merchandising, and ensure accountability, ethics, and a strong guest-focused culture with opportunities for career growth within our team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or leadership role.
• Ability to motivate a diverse team and foster positive cross-department relationships.
• Comfort with accounting, merchandising, and managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations with Store Manager to ensure a safe, productive, and profitable environment.
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff; lead performance evaluations and daily assignments.
• Manage ordering, purchasing, stocking, damage reduction, and loss prevention.
• Assist with payroll budgets, expense controls, and financial reporting.
• Maintain rigorous standards for food safety, sanitation, and business ethics for guests, vendors, and employees.
• Resolve operational, technical, or mechanical issues quickly.
