Job summary

Family Dollar in Magna, Utah is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. This part-time role involves assisting with daily activities, organizing merchandise, and ensuring store standards are met.

You will help supervise and train Store Associates, handle opening/closing procedures, and maintain a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. Local compliance and basic payroll/scheduling support may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; ensure store standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; support loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom; secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and professional conduct for staff.
