Family Dollar LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Parowan, UT to support store operations and customer service. You will help manage day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and assist in training Store Associates to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, shift supervision, inventory control, and adherence to corporate directives while delivering a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred; required to read and interpret directives).
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks regularly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and functions.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and handle questions/concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communication related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all assets, including cash; follow safety policies.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
