Job summary

White House | Black Market, Inc. Scottsdale is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the team, building community connections, and delivering a seamless customer experience that reflects our hospitality culture.

This role focuses on developing associates, achieving financial goals, and maintaining a visually inspired store that follows brand standards. You’ll operate with an omni-channel approach, manage inventory, and ensure safe, compliant store operations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible availability—including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop customer and peer relationships.
• Experience with events and community outreach is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a team to deliver a customer-centered experience.
• Take ownership to achieve the financial goals of the store and motivate the team.
• Assist in the hiring, development, and coaching of associates.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and utilizing an omni-channel approach.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment that reflects brand standards.
• Take ownership to ensure safe and efficient store operations including inventory management, daily replenishment of floor merchandise, and execution of inventories.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.
• Build community connections through in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, and other initiatives.
