GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for a fast-paced Rose Mart convenience store in Cary, NC. The role focuses on seamless store operations, customer service excellence, and leadership across shifts.

You will oversee daily tasks, coach staff, manage scheduling, and ensure a clean, safe store environment with strong cash handling. Open availability, weekend work, and a willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• Open Availability: weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
• Reliable Transportation: valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance for bank deposits.
• Physical Readiness: able to perform cleaning, trash removal, and maintenance tasks near pumps.
• Minimum Age Requirement: 18+ years old.
• Communication Skills: proficient in English with basic math.
• Willing to Learn.
• Certification: Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service and store success.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment including restrooms and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback that motivates the team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned.
