Position Purpose:

Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the various responsibilities and functions of the following roles: Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They will learn how to support the Store Manager in developing strategies and objectives to drive store sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Service: Supervise associates in selling, ensure the store is in stock, and maintain an appealing, organized appearance. Learn staffing, scheduling, resolving stock issues, and handling customer concerns.
  2. Supervising Store Associates: Participate in interviewing, hiring, motivating, coaching, training, and developing staff. Understand performance management and disciplinary processes.
  3. Operations Management: Oversee front-end processes, merchandise receiving, stocking, and equipment operation. Learn to manage daily financial operations and ensure safety compliance.
  4. Business Analysis and Merchandise Planning: Drive profitability through sales trend analysis, collaborate with partners on merchandise placement, and support inventory management.
Reporting Structure:

Report to a Store Manager. Upon completing training, gradually assume supervisory responsibilities.

Additional Details:
  • Travel: Less than 10% overnight travel.
  • Physical Requirements: Mostly sitting with occasional movement and light lifting.
  • Working Conditions: Indoor, comfortable environment with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the U.S.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience.
Leadership & Certifications:
  • No specific leadership experience or certifications required.
