Generate Sales
- Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
- Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisals of associates' sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and opportunities in line with Company Objectives.
- Adhere to current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Company Dress Code Policy.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Control Expenses
- Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store work schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control policies.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, completing price changes, and conducting product counts.
- Complete accurate product counts in a timely manner.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping in accordance with LIDS Retail policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
- Act as Store Manager on duty for employee scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc., when the Store Manager is absent.
- Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting, and follow-up in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Administer disciplinary actions, including verbal and written warnings, when necessary.
- Handle store scheduling and staffing, including calling in associates during unexpected peaks.
- Participate in training programs, set goals, and conduct follow-ups.
- Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
- Encourage compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including inventory and asset security.
- Perform duties of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to generate sales while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
- Ability to work independently.
