Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, and loss prevention while upholding company standards in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities include training and supervising Store Associates, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming store, and executing company directives and promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Assist customers and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and records.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help store management supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
