Job summary

Family Dollar in Sabinal, Texas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening and closing, merchandising, scheduling, payroll, cash deposits, loss prevention, and training Store Associates to maintain a neat, safe, and friendly shopping environment.

This role emphasizes high energy teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and friendly environment for customers and staff.
