Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and supervise merchandising transfers from delivery to sales floor while maintaining seasonal displays.

You will also participate in opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, and ensure clean, organized stockrooms and front-of-store areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, bending, climbing).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and store cleanliness.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling procedures.
