Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will assist with daily activities, merchandise placement, and opening/closing procedures while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to lead a high-energy team in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
