Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and develop team members in Milwaukee. You will oversee merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor, support opening/closing, and ensure adherence to company policies while maintaining a safe, friendly environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and hands-on involvement in payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention to keep the store performing at a high standard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and activities.
• Help customers and address questions and concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain and organize displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged goods, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment.
• General duties including cleaning and restocking facilities.
