Family Dollar in Ridgeland, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, customer service, and staff development. You’ll assist with merchandising, opening/closing procedures, and implementing corporate directives while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or required.
• Retail store management experience in a grocery/retail environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to supervise and develop store associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure policies, safety guidelines, and store procedures are followed.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
