Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with daily functions, organizing merchandise, and ensuring clean, safe surroundings for customers and staff.

The candidate should be ready to supervise, train, and develop store associates while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. This is a full-time on-site position in Owensboro, KY.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Capacity to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain showroom fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and handling record keeping.
• Support in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling procedures.
