Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, supervise associates, and ensure safety and policy adherence while maintaining clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms.

The role emphasizes leadership, excellent communication, and ability to lift up to 55 lbs, with a focus on delivering friendly, efficient service to customers and supporting merchandise flow and loss

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Support merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked, organized, and secure assets including cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and professional environment.
• Assist the Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
