Job summary

Family Dollar in Greenville, SC is seeking a store leader to oversee daily operations, support customers, and manage merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor. You will help supervise staff, ensure safety and accuracy in payroll and scheduling, and maintain strong store presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred
• Store management experience in retail preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Strong customer service and organizational abilities
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and accessibility requests related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste removal
