Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Lexington Park, MD to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help open and close the store, supervise associates, and ensure merchandise is properly displayed and stocked to company standards.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Store management experience in retail preferred
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Team environment experience required
• Strong customer service, organizational and decision-making skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling/cash handling and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store front and back stock
• Protect company assets including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Help store manager supervise and develop associates
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment and professional customer interactions
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including restrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
