Job summary

Dollar Tree in Maryland is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team. You will assist with store operations, customer service, and team development, helping to drive sales and ensure a clean, welcoming environment.

You will open/close the store, organize merchandise, train associates, and uphold company standards and safety procedures. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and a commitment to excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and complete related store communications.
