Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, support management, and help train and mentor store associates.

The role emphasizes building a positive, safe environment, maintaining merchandise, executing company directives, and ensuring high standards of customer service and loss prevention. This on-site position is located in Garland, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address inquiries.
• Support merchandising, stock transfer, and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Help implement directives and ensure compliance.
• Support loss prevention and record-keeping.
• Train and develop store associates.
