Cosentino's Price Chopper #105 in Kansas City is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead all store departments, drive growth, and deliver Cosentino customer service expectations. Reporting to the Store Director, this exempt, on-site role requires leadership and hands-on supervision of operations.

The position emphasizes coaching, performance reviews, and strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards while promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a food service, retail, and/or grocery store setting.
• A valid driver’s license is required for deliveries.
• A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
• A liquor license is required prior to the first day of work (If applicable).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall supervision of the activities of all departments in an operationally effective and respectful manner.
• Promote teamwork, high morale, and strong interpersonal communications.
• Provide coaching, corrective actions, and performance evaluations to improve results.
• Address employee relations issues and collaborate with HR when needed.
• Conduct interviews to hire qualified candidates for departments across the store.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and involve District Manager when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with Cosentino Customer Service Standards and health regulations.
